Just like ‘The love of money can be the root of all evil’, so can the love of Social Media. It can become more than an innocent ‘Time Bandit’; it can be a serious financial thief. Stealing time from one’s employer equates to stealing money. Look at it this way; if an individual makes a purchase, and then decides to return that item he or she would be entitled to a refund. Time does not have that luxury. There is no ‘refund’ for poorly-invested time.
In the U.S. 40.4 percent of its population hold an Associate’s degrees or higher. Denver, Colorado is in the top 20 cities with 44% of its constituents holding an Associates degree or better with a whopping 15% having earned a Masters degree. Yet, pedigrees alone will not sustain one’s employment in turbulent times.
Finding employment for someone who has legal and or criminal issues is difficult here in Colorado, as it is undoubtedly in every other state. Targetting smaller businesses and or people we know, has been a resolution in the past. Larger companies/businesses that want finger prints or criminal histories tend to look only at the person as they appear on paper, rather than meeting them and listening to what they have to say. Difficult? Yes! Impossible? No!
